American physiologist educated at Miami University of Ohio (BA 1934) and Harvard University (Ph. D. 1942). At Harvard, Horvath worked in the Fatigue Laboratory under the guidance of the eminent physiologist David Bruce Dill. Edward Moore Kennedy (b. Feb. 22, 1932, Boston, Mass.-d. Aug. 25, 2009), graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in government in 1956, and received his LL.B. from the University of Virginia in 1959.
